Enrollment in the Advanced Beginner & Intermediate
Classes is by INVITATION ONLY!
Students enrolled in the Ruric-Amari School of Dance must
take at least one weekly class and attend outside rehearsals
as necessary. Students are expected to focus on their dance
style and grow within that focus, learning the pertaining
stylization, music, and choreographies.

May 7 - 14 - 21 - 28
5:30 - 6:30 PM Ote'a 201 w/ Ruric-Amari
Learn the percussive and expressive Ote'a! This
dance style will cover the 201 technique, level
changes, traveling steps, arms, and combinations.
Both lovely to watch and vigorous to do, Polynesian
is lots of fun to learn.
6:30 - 7:30 PM Belly Dance 201 w/
Ruric-Amari. Drill, Zills, and Combinations.
This class will cover everything you need to know about the basics of Belly Dance. You will drill 101 and 201 technique, layers, shimmies, and zills until your muscle memory can take hold. This class is great for Adv Beginner/201 students. For more information on Bellydance, see

7:30 - 8:30 PM Belly Dance 301
w/ Ruric-Amari. Drills, Layering, and Concepts.
Take your eduction one step further with 301 technique,
layers, traveling steps, turns and using Props.
This class will drill your movements, introduce
more advanced concepts such as Taqsim, musicality,
improvisation and advanced combinations. For more

Doum Doum Tek Ka Tek!
Unleash your inner rock star -
drum up a storm on the Arabic Doumbek and zills.
Learn the rhythms that make up the foundations of
Arabic music. Familiarize yourself with the pops,
teks, and earthy doums that make up the vocabulary
of the drum. And even make your very own rhythm!
7:00 - 8:00 PM Belly Dance 201 -
ATS Level 1
Learn the foundation of American Tribal Style as
taught by Fat Chance Belly Dance from the ground
up. Ruric-Amari is a newly certified teacher of
ATS and will teach you the group Improvisational
style that has exploded out of San Francisco and
is now found all over the globe.
This class is located at our
studio in the Clifton Center.
